Malin Lundberg Ingemarsson (PhD) is Research Advisor at Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). She joined SIWI in 2019, where she has been leading the work linking water, landscapes, biodiversity and climate change, often concerning restoration of degraded lands, including agroforestry. Prior to joining SIWI, Malin was Technical Expert at Vi Agroforestry and the coordinator of the Agroforestry Network. Since then, she has been able to continue engaging in the network, representing SIWI. Malin explains: “It is a passion of mine to work with integrated approaches and encourage collaboration between different disciplines, sectors, actors and levels of society. One great example is Agroforestry Network that brings together knowledge and expertise from many different perspectives, and I find it highly important and rewarding to bring water into that space.”

Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) is an independent water institute with the vision of a Water Wise World – a world that recognises the value of water and ensures that it is inclusively shared and used sustainably, equitably and efficiently for all. SIWI is dedicated to tackle the global water crises and help bring about lasting change by strengthening water governance among public and private actors globally, regionally, nationally, and locally. SIWI hosts a number of projects focused on water for resilient landscapes, securing water resources and hydrological flows in integrated landscape management approaches such as agroforestry, forest and landscape restoration and the forest-water nexus, as well as in related issues concerning climate change and biodiversity loss.
