Network partners & members: Welcome to the pre-launch of the report ” Achieving the Global Goals through agroforestry”
Agroforestry Network warmly welcomes network members and colleagues to a pre-launch of the new report on agroforestry on 1 October. Read the material, conclusions and recommendations before being released externally and contribute to a discussion on the same.
What are the proven effects of agroforestry? How does the land management system contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals – with a focus on SDG 1 No Poverty, SDG 2 Climate Action and SDG 15 Life on Land? And what are the challenges of scaling up?
This is also an opportunity for experts and employees from the network partners to get to know each other better and contribute to future strategies and activities for the Agroforestry Network.

About the report
The report Achieving the Global Goals through agroforestry is based on a review of research in the field, focusing on environmental, social and economic aspects. A particular focus is on the role of agroforestry in relation to poverty reduction, climate change and biodiversity. The report also addresses the challenges of agroforestry; why is it not used even more in the world, why is it not more visible in policy documents and strategies, and how can the funding increase from Swedish aid from today’s seemingly low levels? Behind the report are partners in the Agroforestry Network; SLU Global, SIANI, Focali, Agroforestry Sweden, Niras, Vi-skogen and SwedBio.
